Terms and conditions for the rental of the guest houses

Entering and leaving

You can check into the guest houses independently from 4pm on the day of your arrival. A message containing all practical information will be sent to you a few days before the start of your stay. On the day of departure, you must vacate the guest houses by 10am. An earlier departure is always possible. Please let us know the day before.

Conclusion of the contract

The booking becomes effective once you have sent us your deposit (30% of the total rental amount). The balance of the total rental price must be paid no later than 15 days before your arrival. For stays booked less than 15 days before the arrival date, the full amount of the stay is due at the time of booking.

Tourist tax

A tourist tax collected by the accommodation provider on behalf of the Communauté de Communes de la Vallée de Kayserberg, Rouffach and Colmar is added to the price of the stay. The applicable tourist tax is €1.10 per adult per night. For La Mielerie du Lac, the Communauté de Communes de Gérardmer charges €2.50 per adult per night. 

Cancellation of stay

All cancellations must be notified by registered letter to Les Ambrades or by email to [email protected].

- Cancellation more than 15 days before the date of arrival: the deposit paid will be reduced by a 3% administration fee and refunded by Les Ambrades.

- Cancellation less than 15 days before the arrival date: 100% of the price of the stay is due, unless the owner re-let the house for the dates in question. In this case, the amount paid may be used for another stay.

- In the event of a shortened stay, the price corresponding to the cost of the accommodation will be retained in full by the owner.

Cancellation of stay in the event of force majeure (e.g. COVID 19 pandemic)

- In the event that the stay cannot be made because of government bans (confinement, travel restrictions, compulsory four-week period on return), the cancellation will result in the stay being postponed to the dates you choose. The sums paid will be used to finance the new stay.

- No refund or postponement is possible in the event of a positive diagnosis (e.g. COVID-19) or if you are a contact case. Cleaning is included in the price of your stay. However, we ask that you leave the guest house in a clean and tidy condition. All you have to do is put the dishes away and empty the bins. On your departure, all equipment and furniture must be replaced in its original place.


This contract is drawn up for a specific number of people. If the number of people exceeds the capacity indicated in the contract, the owner is entitled to refuse additional guests or to apply a surcharge.


Pets are not allowed in the guest houses. In the event of non-compliance with this clause, we may refuse the stay and no refund will be made. A derogation subject to a surcharge of €8 per day and per animal is possible upon written request and prior agreement. 

Holiday insurance

You are responsible for all damage caused by you. You are therefore required to take out holiday insurance to cover these various risks.

General information

- Children are the responsibility of their parents.

- The guest houses are non-smoking, but ashtrays are available in the outside areas.

- We ask everyone to respect the peace and quiet of others.
